We are located in the Port Macqurie Industrial area, at 27 Merrigal Road. Parking is available on site as well as our new large parking area next door. Please do not park in the carparks or driveways of our neighbouring businesses.

  • What do I do for my child's first lesson?

When you arrive for your first lesson, please check in with the front office team. They will confirm your details and make sure everything is ready for your child's first swim! the team will also show you where your lesson will be, who the teacher is, and where to find things within the centre.

  • Do I need to attend lessons with my child?

Yes, a parent or guardian is required to be present while their child is within the swim centre. Baby classes also require a parent/guardian to be in the water with the child.

  • Can I take photos or video the class?

Vicki's Everswim has a strict NO Video policy to maintain the privacy of our families. You may take photos of your child against our photo backdrop. We ask that you take care to not include other children in your photos.

  • Do lessons run all year?

Yes! Vicki's Everswim only closes for Public Holidays and a short break over the Christmas period. All-year swimming helps to build consistency and maintain skills for our swimmers.

  • Is the pool heated, and how is the water quality maintained?

Our pool is maintained with a state-of-the-art Ozone system, keeping the water at a comfortable 31-32 degrees. The water is tested and automatically dosed every 15 minutes to ensure it stays soft, clean and crystal clear - perfect for enjoyable swimming all year.

  • Should my child continue to swim through Winter?

Winter is a great time to kewep your child active, and progressing with their swimming skills. We often see swimmers who take a break over Winter find it hard to pick up where they left off. For pre-shool children especially, consitent year-round practice is important to prevent skill regression, as their muscle-memory and long-tern retension skills are still developing. Fortunately, our indoor pool maintains comfortable, warm temperatures, making lessons enjoyable throughout the year.

  • What are the benefits of starting swimming early?

There is stong evidence that children who take regular swimming lessons from an early age are better prepared to learn across many areas of life.

The benefits go far beyond mastering a life-saving skill. A ground-breaking 4-year study by Australia's Griffith University found that 3 to 5-year-olds who regularly attend swimming lessons were:

    - 11 months ahead in verbal skills

    - 6 months ahead in math skills

    - 2 months ahead in literacy skills

    - 17 months ahead in story recall

    - 20 months ahead in understanding directions

At Vicki's Everswim, our Learn to Swim program focus on essential safety and survival skills such as breath control, submersion, turn-around swims back to the wall and backfloating. Ultimately, children who are comfortable and confident in the water from an early age are better prepared to respond in an emergency.
